Integrations

Connect Renable to the platforms you already use. Today that means your Meta ad accounts, which is what lets the Renable Options browser extension show which of your designs each catalog ad is running.

An integration is a connection between Renable and another platform you already use. It gives Renable read access to something on that platform, so it can tell you more about what is happening with your products and your ads.

Integrations belong to your organization, not to a single project, catalog or channel. You set one up once and everything in your organization uses it.

Today there is one kind of integration: Meta ad accounts.

Where to find them#

Open the settings menu (the cogwheel in the top right) and choose Integrations. The page lists every integration this organization has connected, one card each.

Meta ad accounts#

Connecting a Meta ad account gives Renable read access to the ads in that account. That is what powers the Renable Options browser extension: when you open a catalog ad in Meta Ads Manager, the panel can tell you which of your Renable designs the ad is running, show you the other designs your channel provides, and switch the ad to another one.

Renable only reads your ads through this connection. It never changes an ad on its own, never changes your budgets or targeting, and never changes any of your feeds. The one thing that does write back is the extension's own Use this design action, which you trigger yourself, ad by ad.

Connect an ad account#

  1. On the Integrations page, click Add integration.
  2. Click Continue with Meta and sign in with a Meta account that can manage the business the ad account belongs to.
  3. Pick the Meta business, then the ad account, and click Connect.

The connection applies immediately. If your organization runs ads in more than one ad account, click Add integration again and repeat — each account gets its own card.

You will see both the ad accounts the business owns and the ones a client has shared with it, which is what you want if you run ads on behalf of clients.

What a card tells you#

Each card shows the ad account's name as Meta knows it, its ad account ID so you can match it against what you see in Ads Manager, and when it was connected and by whom. Clicking the name opens that account in Meta Ads Manager in a new tab.

Disconnect an ad account#

Open the card's menu and choose Disconnect. Renable stops reading that account's ads, so the Renable Options panel stops showing designs for them. Your feeds and your ads keep running exactly as they are, and you can connect the account again at any time.

Disconnecting does not revoke Renable's permission at Meta — it stops Renable from using it. To remove the permission itself, remove Renable's access to the ad account in your Meta Business settings.

Troubleshooting#

"Meta did not accept the ad account connection." This usually means Renable's ad permissions are still being approved by Meta. Your catalog connections and your feeds are unaffected — they use a separate permission — so everything else keeps working while this is sorted out. Try again later, or contact support if it persists.

Nothing happens when you click Continue with Meta. Three different things look identical here: you closed Meta's popup, you declined the permission, or Meta's login script is blocked. Try again and complete the Meta dialog; if the popup never appears at all, allow connect.facebook.net in your ad blocker and reload the page.

You can't see the ad account you expect. You need to be signed in with a Meta account that can manage the business the ad account belongs to, and the account has to be owned by that business or shared with it by a client. Pick a different business in the first dropdown if you manage several.

The same ad account is used by two of your organizations. That's supported — connect it in both. When the Renable Options panel meets an ad in that account, it asks which organization to use.
